Wai-Ke Kim is the Vice President for Worldsource Wealth Management in British Columbia, developing Practice Management solutions and tools for advisors. Prior to joining Worldsource, she was the Regional Director for Manulife Wealth in BC where she took a consultative approach to support advisors with their practice management, recruiting and business development. She also spent several years working with National Accounts and MGAs during her time at BMO Life Assurance Company where she specialized in corporate life insurance analysis and solutions.
She began her financial services career 19 years ago as an entrepreneur building a vibrant financial planning practice in Toronto. She is a passionate advocate for Women in Wealth and takes a keen interest in mentoring and networking with young women starting a career in finance. Wai-Ke volunteers with Ascend Canada in the Sponsorship and Membership Committee, the Advocis Financial Planning Summit as the Sponsorship Director, the Advocis Greater Vancouver Chapter as the Sponsorship Chair, the Women in Capital Markets Steering Committee and is a Member of the Insurance Council of BC.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Queen’s University, and holds a CFP, CLU, CPCA and CEA designations. She is currently pursuing an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University. She is also a classically trained pianist, loves to bake cookies and is a proud mother to two boys.
